Mrs. Eva Barber Dies: Services Set for Friday

Mrs. Frank (Eva) Barber, 67, died late Tuesday night [Sept. 22 1970] at Holy Family Hospital after a lingering illness.

She was born May 19, 1903 at Gruver to Mr. and Mrs. William Nehring and has lived in the area all her life. On Jan. 4, 1922 she was married to Frank Barber.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Florence; her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one brother, Floyd Nehring of Gruver; one granddaughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Barbara) Collins of Wichita, Kan.; and one grandson, Clyde Brent Richards of Sulphur, La.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the United Presbyterian Church, Gruver. The Rev. Neil Armstrong will officiate. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home from noon Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday. The body will then be taken to lie in state at the church until time of services.
