Thank you so much, Nicole. Your reply is encouraging. I hope to find the marriage record for Louis Fischer and Carolina Rhomberg for 17 February, 1862. I believe I read they were married in a civil ceremony but I'm hoping they then were married in the parish church. I also hope to find the baptismal record for their first child, my great grandmother, Emma C. Fischer Holz, born 18 August, 1862. I'm hoping it lists the birthplace of Louis Fischer.
