THOMPSON, GRIFFIN

We are trying to locate any info on William Thompson and Emily Griffin who married in Dubuque County Dec 29, 1948.
The 1850 Census Dubuque County, Dist 7 lists them as 217 family and home with a daughter Sarah 6/12 age, occ. miner, birthplace: Wm Ireland and Emily OHio. 1860 census places them in French Creek, Allamakee County. We know that their son James Henry was born & educated in Dubuque. We suspect that both William & Emily had their individual families living in or around Dubuque as well.
Their Children: Sarah (April 1850), William Edwin (1852), James Henry (Dec 1853), Olive Belinda (1856), Emily Jane (1858) and Ashley George (March 1860) were also suspected of staying in the general area or French Creek. James Henry relocated as an adult to Wisconsin and died there.
We have no knowledge of where the other children went or what happened to them.
We do not know where any of them died or were buried.
any information that would help us direct our search would be welcome.
Thank you,
Jerilyn Ormsby, descendent of James Henry Thompson
