Just saw your question. We live about 1/2 mile from the intersection of Budd Road and Asbury Road in Dubuque. Sundown Ski Resort is about 1/2 mile further west. This area was the site of the town of Lore at the turn of the 1900's. Budd was another settlement on the road. I don't believe anything is left of it. There is an old school House that has been converted into a home and a foundation of an old store that is left of Lore. There is an old cemetery at the intersection of Budd Rd and either Derby Grange or Hales Mills Rd (I cna't remember which). Hope this helps.
