I'm looking for information about the Wenig or Weinig family that moved to Dubuque, Iowa around 1855 from Wittenberg, Germany. Mt great-grandfather was Jacob Wenig (or, possibly, the name was changed from Weinig)who eventually left Dubuque and settled in Allamakee County and finally, Lyon County (Inwood) where he died around 1940.
