In 1883 my grandfather, Ferdinand Schuster, came to US from Treis, Germany on the ship "Leerdam" with his father, sister and brother and two Schuster cousins.
Also listed in the same cabin was a Hubert KAMP, 19 years old, Baker. My records show he was born Jan. 2, 1864 in Koblenz, Germany. I believe he was also was a third cousin to my grandfather.
Is this your Kamp family???
I have extensive information on the Schuster family of Treis, Germany that I would be glad to share.
