Peter Schrup

SCHRUP, GOERGEN, LONGUEVILLE

I am trying to find out what became of Peter Schrup. He was shown living in the household of Mary Longueville in the 1850 census in Dubuque. That record also shows a 9 month old boy named John Schrup. Peter married Victoria Longueville, I believe in 1849. They had 2 daughters in the mid 1850's, one of whom is my great-grandmother
Louisa Schrup.

By 1860, Victoria was married to a Lorenz Schmidt, and Peter Schrup seems to have disappeared along with the baby John.

I recently stumbled on a family note written on a letter concerning Louisa Schrup Goergen's imminent death that says "Peter Schrup married June 18, 1878"

If anyone knows what happened to Peter, I'd appreciate hearing. He would have been born around 1820-30 I would think. Thanks, Elaine
