Simon Byrne came from Ireland with at least 1 brother, Thomas Bryne. Simon married Bridget ryan, their first child, was born in Illinois. Simon worked for a time on th eRock Island line with Thomas. Thomas remained working into th e1900's. Simon and Bridget (d between 1875 and 1880) setteled in Dubuque where they raised a family, Margaret (or Mary) James, Alice A, William HJoseph, Thomas, Michael, Esther Catherine, Mary. James Married Anna and moved to St Loius with 4 adopted daughters and later had 3 daughters and a son Louis. William Joseph married Cordia Herron in south dakota and had 4 daughters. He appears to have married 1 time prior to this marriage, Thomas married Alice, Mary married Wiiliam Peases in south dakota and moved to Micigan. Simon's brothe thomas married Jane andd had several children. I have no idea what happened to Esther or catherine. Any information or connecions welcome
