There is an Emma Meyers who married Gaspard Martineau ( b 1879). Gaspard was involved with the Barnum and Bailey Circus with his brother Joseph. They travelled many years and returned to Canada in 1906. Gaspard opened the Valleyscope in Valleyfield, Quebec and later bought the Royal Theatre in Montreal. He managed to move the cinema stone by stone to Valleyfield... Emma, who dressed like an Hollywood star, was in charge of the chic restautant Cosy Parlor, located downstairs of the Theatre. They had a son called Eugene, who never married.

She sold their castle called Chateau Martineau after the death of her son. It took three years to move castle from Montreal to Valleyfield (1941 to 1943) and the building still exists.
