Finding my Iowa roots

I am trying to find my great grandparents Krueger. My grandfather John Frederick Krueger was probably born in Dubuque but his birth was not recorded. His Marriage certificate lists his parents as John and Sophia Krueger. We have heard the rumor that he was adopted from a relative. He married Rose Tschol of Dubuque His mother Sophis married Frank Weinhappel at some point. He has two brothers Herman and William. One married Theresa Tschol, my grandmother's sister. My mother Marguerite was born in Dubuque but her birth was not recorded. They are in the 1910 Census. I have the Tschol family done but this one boggles the mind! The other Krueger/Tschol family stayed in Dubuque and my grandparents moved to Seattle. All these people and my mother died long ago. Older parents make this hard
