Marti, Can you clarify your post? "his records seem to be blocked" What records? On the 1930 census in Dubuque Harry's nativity is indicated as Ct. & parental nativities as Scot, Ire. The 1925 census indicates Harry Lewis was born Wi., as were his parents Bernard Lewis & Mary McQuady. Dorothy Lewis parents are indicated Herman Burdt & Anna Pregler. 4 y/o Harry Lewis & younger sib Marguerite's are indicated as Harry Lewis & Dorothy Burdt. In 1920 Dubuque is the household of Herman & Anna Burdt with children including daughter Dorothy. I'm having trouble finding Harry in 1920 because of these nativity mix-ups. Dick
