Hello,
I'm also working Bilbrough family. John Bilbrough,photographer lived in Dubuque, Iowa was the nephew of Elizabeth Bilbrough Hirst. She was born 9 May 1829 Ryther, Yorkshire, England, married George Hirst 1849 Leeds, Yorkshire, England, they were in Rock Co., WI by 1850 and from there they moved to Lafayette CO., WI living there until they moved to Reno CO., KS in 1872. George Hirst was also a photographer, cabinet-maker and farmer. George and Elizabeth's son, Samuel Hirst was a well known photographer here in Hutchinson, KS.
In Elizabeth Bilbrough Hirst's obit it names a nephew, John Bilbrough that lived in Kansas City, MO. She died 25 Sep 1914 Hutchinson, Reno CO., KS.
Elizabth 's parents were, John Bilbrough and Hannah Westerman. They had William Mary, Ann, and John in Kirby Wharfe, Yorkshire England and Joseph, Thomas, Elizabeth and Hannah in Ryther, Yorkshire, England.
