Louis E. Corell

Louis E. Corell, 58, died Tuesday, June 4, 1968, at a Dubuque, Ia., hospital following an extended illness.

He was born June 1, 1909 in Monticello, Iowa. He has been a lifelong resident of Platteville, and Dubuque. Mr. Corell was a employed as a clerk in the Post office in Platteville. He was one of the original members of the Platteville City Band. Mr Corell was active in Boy Scout work in Platteville and Dubuque.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday), June 6, 2 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home.

The Rev. Richard Chartier, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Platteville, will officiate. Burial will be in the Platteville Greenwood cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Speth, one daughter, Mrs. Jerry Roddick, El Paso, Texas; two sons, Louis D. Corell, Dubuque, Ia; Ross W. Corell, Madison; one sister, Mrs. Charles Rudolph, Platteville; and seven grandchildren.
