After a long illness, Mrs Hoffman, the aged mother of M.M. Hoffman, the undertaker, expired yesterday morning at 5:30 o'clock, at her residence on Jackson street between Twelfth and Thirteenth, at the age of 53 years. Mrs Hoffman was an old and esteemed resident of this city, and was a good Christian lady. Her many friends will be grieved to learn of her death, and her family has the sympathy of all their acquaintances in their bereavement. The funeral will take place from the family residence on Thursday to St Marys Catholic Church. The remains will be interred in the German Catholic cemetery. (Mt Calvery)
