Frank Weitz Summoned

Mr. Frank Weitz died at the family residence, 84 Kaufman Avenue on Tuesday morning at seven o’clock following a brief illness. Mr. Weitz was born in this city thirty-nine years ago, and has made Dubuque his home ever since. He was a well known saloonkeeper on the north end, and was prominent in amateur baseball work, being a member of the Hawkeye team with Charles Buelow for some time. He was a genial, good natured man, and was popular with a large circle of friends. His death is mourned by his mother, Mrs. John Weitz, two sisters, Mrs. Kate Berringer, Mrs. John Beaver, of Mitchell, S. D., and seven brothers, Joseph, Edward, Albert, Arnold, Harry, of this city, Charles and John of Milwaukee. The deceased was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart Parish, and of the Orioles. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at nine o’clock from his mother’s home to the Sacred Heart Church, interment in Mt. Calvary.
