DEAF MUTE DEAD

Death claimed De Coursey French at Finley Hospital on Monday afternoon at four o’clock, after an illness extending over the past several weeks. Mr. French was about 72 years old and had resided in this city for the past 30 years. The deceased was a well known citizen, and had done much for the deaf and dumb people of the city, being a mute himself. He is survived by his wife. Mr. French was a member of the Episcopal Church and the funeral will be held from St. John’s Church on Wednesday morning at ten o’clock, interment to be made in Linwood Cemetery. He was known and respected by a number of friends who will learn with sorrow of his demise.
