Charles Voltz Well Known Dubuquer Answers Summons

Charles Voltz, 73, died Friday evening at the family residence, 2204 Rhomberg avenue, at 10:10 o'clock. He had been ailing for the past few years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Voltz; two sons, George and Carl, also two daughters, Mrs. George H. Schilling and Mrs. John Mersch; five grandchildren and a brother, Henry Voltz, all of Dubuque.

He was born in Germany and came to this city when he was 16 years old. He was a stonemason and was affiliated with the local society. He was a pioneer fire-fighter of Dubuque, a member of the Maccabees Tent No. 24, the Catholic Workman's union, a member of the Holy Trinity parish. The funeral will be held from the residence Monday morning to Holy Trinity Church at 9 o'clock. Burial will be made in Mt. Calvery cemetery.
