Mrs. Carolina M. Conrad

Mrs. Carolina M. Conrad, wife of William Conrad, died Saturday morning at 9:40 o'clock at the residence, 2665 Jackson Street, after several week's illness.

Her body will be transferred from the Egelhof Home for Funerals to the family home, where she may be viewed after 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
Burial will be in Linwood.

The deceased was born Dec. 4,1862 in Galena,Ill., and she was in her 76th year.

She came to Dubuque when a young woman with her parents, the late George and Anna Silzer, and resided here since. She was a member of Dubuque Company Jehovah's Witnesses.

Besides her hisband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs.(sic) Amelia K, and one sone Frederick G. and a sister Mrs. Frederick(sic) Buse, all of Dubuque.

Mrs. Caroline M. Conrad

Mrs. Caroline M. Conrad, 75, of 2665 Jackson Street, dies Saturday morning at 9:40 o'clock.

She was born in Galena, Ill. on Dec. 4, 1862, the daughter of the late George and Anna Maria Silzer. She came to Dubuque with her parents when she was nine years old and she had been in continuous residence since that time. She was married to W. Conrad on Oct. 25, 1883.

Her survivors are her husband; one daughter, Amelia K.; one son, Frederick G.; one sister, Mrs. Fredericka Buse; and one nephew, Leonard E. Blichmann, who in early childhood lived with Mrs. Conrad following the death of his mother.

Mrs. Conrad was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, George W., John C., and Phillip J.; and five sisters, Mary, Elizabeth, Christina, and Mrs. E. W. (Katherine) Vogel, and Mrs. H. (Lena) Blichmann.

She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses for many years.

The body is at the Egelhof Home for Funerals, where funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in the family lot at Linwood Cemetery.
