At 9:30 o'clock Thursday morning , occurred the death of one of Dubuque's oldest settlers, Mrs. E.A. Crosley, at her residence, 58 Walnut street. She was 77 years old.
Mrs. Crosley's death came as a shock to her many friends and relatives as she was very well known in this city and also in the surrounding country. She had been ailing for some time past, although her death was not expected. Mrs. Crosley was a devout member of the M.E. church.
She was born in Annberland, Maryland, Jan. 25, 1831, and came to this city in 1835, where she has since resided.
Those that survive her are: Two daughters, Mrs. John Robinson and Mrs. Ida B. Taylor, both of this city.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, to Grandview Avenue M.E. church, thence to Asbury cemetery where interment will be made.
