John I. Blair, the one man who built the most miles of railway in Iowa, died at his home in Blairstown, N. J., on the 2d. He first constructed what is now the Northwestern, and afterwards the Dubuque & Sioux City railway. He also built roads in other states, and made millions of dollars, every cent of which he leaves for others to enjoy.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Aug. 22, 1802 and is buried in Blairstown Cemetery in Blairstown, NJ.
