Jeffrey Peter Lynch, age 66, of Dubuque, died Saturday April 18, 2020 at Sunnycrest Manor in Dubuque.

Jeffrey deserves a beautiful tribute. However, in this unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic, having a public visitation is not possible. Please be with his family in prayer. Entombment for Jeffrey will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Jeffrey was born on September 30, 1953 in Straubing, Germany, the son of Leo and Mary Jane Froehle Lynch. He became a resident at Sunnycrest Manor at the age of 36. His mother, Mary Jane, was an advocate for residents at Sunnycrest. His father, Leo, was a volunteer at Area Residential Care. Jeffrey enjoyed music (especially his sisters’ piano playing) and rocking.

He is survived by his two sisters, Deborah Lynch (Terrance Goedken) of Mundelein, Illinois and Rebecca Lynch (David Jenkins) of St. Paul, Minnesota; and two nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his special aunt, Clara Mae Froehle.

Jeffrey lived at home with his family the first 36 years of his life. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunnycrest for the empathic, professional care they showed Jeffrey each day, as if he was family. We are also grateful to Hospice of Dubuque for the support and sensitivity they extended to us as we released our brother to eternal life with his heavenly family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeffrey’s name to Sunnycrest Manor.
