Mrs. Cordelia Crawford Dead

The sad news was received here on Tuesday morning of the death of Mrs. Cordelia Crawford of Colorado Springs who died that morning of consumption. Monday afternoon her relative received a telegram that she was not expected to live long, and her sister, Mrs. George Parrott, immediately left for the west. In the meantime, the second message arrived announcing that the end had come. Mrs. Parrott returned with the remains of her sister yesterday and the funeral took place today from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. George Parrott to the Baptist Church, thence to the protestant Cemetery.

Mrs. Crawford had been in ill health for a long time and two years ago went to Colorado Springs on account of the climate and curative benefits of that resort. She came back to Cascade a year ago, but soon found that in order to prolong her life she must return to the west, and she did so.

She was the eldest daughter of the late Lyman Dillon, during his life a prominent and influential citizen of Cascade. About thirty-four years ago she was married to Robert Crawford, now dead, and is survived by one son, Lyman, who was by the bedside of his mother when she died.

Her sisters who survive are Mrs. James McCue and Mrs. George Parrott, of this city, Mrs. Ben Skinner, of Manchester, and a brother Alvin Dillon, who has been living at Colorado Springs.
Mrs. Crawford was a popular woman, who leaves to mourn her death many warm friends in Cascade.
