Cascade Pioneer, published in Cascade, Iowa on Friday, July 26th, 1895

Henry Baesler, of Dyersville, aged 15 years, was killed by foul air from a well on the family premises Tuesday of last week. His small sister playfully threw his hat down the well. He went down to get it and was suffocated by the deadly gases. The incident was a very sad one.
