Services for Miss Frances I. O’Meara, 73, formerly of 1134 White St., who died at 8:35 a.m. Friday at Sunnycrest Manor, will be at St. Patrick’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Farley, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Diesch Funeral Home, where Scripture Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Miss O’Meara was born in West Union, Iowa, the daughter of William & Rose A. (Hill) O'Meara. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. She was a registered nurse for more than 50 years, and a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing in Dubuque. She was a member of the Iowa Nurses Association, and honorary member of the Mercy School of Nursing. She was a charter member of the Dubuque’s Women’s Bowling Association. She retired from nursing in 1970.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Marie Locher of Farley, Iowa, and Mrs. William (Rose) Bower of Dubuque, and a brother, Leo of Farley.
