DROPPED DEAD IN THE STREET-Mr. John Eagan, home near the gas house, fell dead while in the act of putting a shovel full of dirt into a cart near the corner of the new building by the post office. He was picked up, carried across the street, laid under a tree, and a stimulant attempted to be administered. At the same time a physician was sent for, who, when he arrived and felt for the man’s pulse, declared him dead. His death was supposed to be from heart disease. His body was conveyed to his home and the coroner will probably hold an inquest today. He leaves a wife to mourn his sudden death.
