An aged lady, Mrs. Zimmerman, was prostrated with a stroke of paralysis last Thursday afternoon and lies in a feeble condition. She is well advanced in years, having attained her 80th birthday and has but a short lease of life at the best. One of her sons lives in Guttenberg, the other lives here.

--

The Dubuque Herald of yesterday contains the following sad news for one of the residents of Guttenberg:

Mrs. Rosale Zimmerman, one of the most venerable ladies in the Fifth ward died at the residence of her son John on Couler avenue at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She had passed the alloted three score years and ten and died full of years and honor. She was 81 years of age and been ill but a time. Mrs. Zimmerman was a resident of Dubuque since 1856, at which time she arrived here from Austria with a young family, all of whom have since grown to man's estate in the home of their adoption.

Mrs. Zimmerman lived a pure and noble life and was highly respected. She leaves three sons and a daughter. They are Joseph, of Guttenberg, Ia.; Wenzel, of New Orleans, and John of this city. Her only daughter, Mrs. Heber, lives at St. Joseph, Mo.
