Mrs. A.E. Ward, mother of Mrs. F.W. Parker, died on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the residence of her daughter on Locust street. Mrs. Ward was the wife of Mr. Lindsey Ward, formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and one of the oldest residents of Milwaukee.

After the death of her husband, which occurred two years ago, Mrs. Ward came to this city to reside with her only daughter. She was a native of Wisconsin, and at the time of her demise was 59 years of age.

Mrs. Ward was a woman of lovely character, and a devoted mother. During her illness she was tenderly cared for by her daughter.

She was a devout member of the Episcopal church. The funeral service will be conducted at the residence of Mrs. Parker at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The interment will be in Linwood cemetery. Burial private.
