STRICKEN DURING CHURCH SERVICE
MRS. CATHERINE HUBER ATTACKED BY HEART DISEASE IN ST. MARY'S CHURCH.
Mrs. Catherine Huber, of 910 White street, was stricken with heart disease in St. Mary's church on Sunday evening and died a few moments later.
Mrs. Huber was attending the evening service at St. Mary's when she felt the first premonition of her attack. Turning to a companion in the pew, she complained of sharp pain in her side. She was assisted across the street to the home of her sister, where she died before her family or a physician could be summoned. Death was caused by heart failure.
Mrs. Huber was born on April 12, 1838, and was married in Dubuque on October 30, 1854, to Joseph Huber, Bishop Loras performing the ceremony. She is survived by her husband and six children,--Charles, A.J., and Walter J. of Dubuque, George of Chicago, and Frank and Thomas L. of Beloit, Wis. She also leaves three sisters and two brothers--Mrs. Margaret Berg and Mrs. Charles W. Schreiber, Mrs. Christiana Suess, Joseph R. Reinfried and Frank L. Reinfried.
She had been a resident of Dubuque and a member of St. Mary's church during her entire life, and was prominent in the Mercy Hospital Association and the St. Mary's Rosary Society.
The funeral notice will be announced later.
