Carl Leo Till, 90, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Thursday, June 20th, 2019 at Ennoble Manor in Dubuque, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Key West with Rev. Rodney Allers officiating. Family and friends may gather after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church until time of mass. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post #6. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, Dubuque, Iowa is assisting the family.

Carl was born on September 28, 1928 in Farley, Iowa the son of John and Mae (Ludwig) Till. He attended school at St. Joseph’s in Farley, IA and served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. Carl married Marion Buol on April 11, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dubuque, IA.

Carl owned and operated Till Feed and Grain in Farley, IA with his brother Paul. In 1971 he opened the Cascade Sale Barn and ran it for 11 years before moving to Dubuque. While in Dubuque he bought and sold Real Estate until retirement.

He is survived by his sons, Mike Till of Dyersville, IA and Mark (April) Till of Dubuque, IA; a brother Gene (Gerri) Till; and sisters, Elaine (Spence) Schnoeer and Helen Sheehy.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Marion on June 26, 2002; his parents, John and Mae; a brother, Paul; and sisters, MaryLou Turner, Ruth Graham, Irene Funke, Dola Stoll and Kay Peterchuck.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Carl’s name.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Ennoble Manor, especially, Sheila for the wonderful care and kindness they gave to Carl all these Years.
