MRS. DELLA BRIGGS

EPWORTH-Mrs. Della Briggs, 85, of Epworth, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Gelvern, Sioux City, Iowa. She had been ill for sometime.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Haudenshield Funeral Home in Epworth after which the body will be at the Wesley Methodist Church for services at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Highview Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 15, 1872, in Epworth and lived there all her life. She had been living with her daughter in Sioux City since last September. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Epworth’s Wesley Methodist Church and the W. S. C. S.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Opal Gelvern; two sons, George Briggs, Pomona, California, and Wilson L. Briggs, Chino, California; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Her husband Thomas H. Briggs died Feb. 27, 1948.
