Died on Monday morning, at the residence of T. J. Chew, Esq. Mrs. Susannah Bemis, aged 77 years.

The subject of the above notice was a native of Hartford County, Maryland, and relic of the late Nathan T. Bemis, and mother of Mr. T. J. Chew, of this place. Mrs. Bemis was an estimable Christian lady, and highly respected and loved by all who had pleasure of her acquaintance. The funeral services took place from the United Presbyterian Church on Monday afternoon. The Rev. W. D. Ralston, of Scotch Grove preached the funeral sermon. The funeral was largely attended.
