Epworth, Ia., May 7th – William H. Stocks died at his home here Wednesday after a lingering illness. He was born January 8th, 1853 in Cottage Hill, Iowa, the son of John and Sarah Stocks.

On March 2nd, 1881, he was united in marriage to Della Glew, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Glew, also of Cottage Hill. Mr. Stocks became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church near his home and at the time of his death was still a member of the Cottage Hill Parish.

The family moved to Epworth in 1904 and has made their home here since. Surviving him are his widow and three children. Asa and Clifford Stocks, and Mrs. Walter Kennedy, all of Epworth, and also brother, George, of Raymond, Iowa, and Thomas of Epworth, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist Church at Epworth. Interment will be made in Highview Cemetery.
