Mrs. Mary (Mamie) Brown Ryan, 99, formerly of Vernon Township, and who had lived with her nephews, Al and Ray Carr at 53 1/2 Locust st., died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at a local convalescent hospital.

She was the widow of Henry Ryan, who died in 1946.

Services will be at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael's Cathedral. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery at New Melleray. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at Behr's.

Mrs. Ryan was born in Dubuque County. She was employed for a number of years at the Tranel Cafeteria, and was a memmber of the Rosary Society at St. Raphaael's Cathedral.

Surviving are nieces and nephews. She is a last survivor of a pioneer family of eight.
