EPWORTH, Iowa - Clara L. Albrecht, 96, of Garner, formerly of Epworth, died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital, Britt.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Reiff Funeral Home, Epworth, with the Rev. Scott Meador officiating. Burial will be in Highview Cemetery, Epworth. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born on March 29, 1905, in Cottage Hill, daughter of Frederick and Laura (Glew) Beyer.

She was a 1923 graduate of the Epworth Seminary and a 1926 graduate of the Finley School of Nursing in Dubuque.

She worked as a registered nurse in the Dubuque area schools prior to her marriage to Clarence H. "Ole" Albrecht on July 19, 1939.

She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Mabel (Virgil) Olson, of Portland, Ore.; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Eldon Coates, of Zwingle; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. "Ole" Albrecht, on Aug. 29, 1992; her parents; and eight brothers and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Epworth United Methodist Church building fund.
