DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Lois G. Funke, 82, of 403 Eighth Ave., Dyersville, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Quint officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville. Friends may call from

3 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m.

She was born on Feb. 19, 1930, in Cascade, daughter of Daniel and Mary (Devaney) Faley. She received her education at Senior High School, Dubuque.

She married Leroy Funke on Oct. 6, 1950, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Dubuque.

Lois was a loving mother. She cared only for the well-being of her children, grandchildren and her husband.

Surviving are her husband, Leroy Funke, of Dyersville; two sons, Ronald Funke, of Dubuque, and Gerald (Carol) Funke, of Hiawatha; a daughter, Victoria (Tom) McGeehan, of Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren, Brenda Funke, of Dallas, Cheryl (Kevin) McColley, of Ankeny, and Kyle McGeehan, of Arlington; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Chloe; and a brother, Marvin Faley, of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters and a brother, Delores, Milicent, Lenore, Genevieve and Daniel.
