DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Ann M. Mousel, 94, of Dyersville, formerly of Alton, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-Dyersville, following a short illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alton, with the Rev. John Vakulskas officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Alton. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church, where there will be a rosary at 5 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Friends also may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4:30 p.m., with the Rev. Jerry Kopacek officiating.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1910, in Granville, daughter of Nick and Kate (Erpelding) Malget.

She married Arnold F. Mousel on April 24, 1939, in Adrian, Minn. She and her husband owned and operated Arnie's Place in Alton.

Ann enjoyed flowers, crocheting, baking and playing cards, bingo and checkers.

Surviving are Carol (Jim) Forkenbrock, of San Antonio, Texas; James (Jan) Mousel, of Eden Prairie, Minn.; Frank (Judy) Mousel, of Dyersville; Dan (Shelley) Mousel, of Edgewood; and Patrick (Kathy) Mousel, of Bettendorf: 16 grandchildren, Mike and Tom Forkenbrock, Sandy Watson, Rob and Anne Mousel, Tracey Schlarmann, Jennifer Brehm, Kristi Smith, Jenny Wulfekuhle, Kris Burkey, John, Katie and Jude Mousel, Michele Crouse, Heath Mousel and Danielle Zillyette; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Malget, of Luverne, Minn., and Adrian Malget, of Oelwein; and two sisters, Alvina Ruppert, of Greeley, Colo., and Joan Malget, of Phoenix.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, Arnold Jr.; two brothers, Nick and Roman Malget; and a sister, Viola Ruppert.
