Jeremy A. Zimmerman, 27, of 1850 Ellis St. died at 8:16 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 11:15 a.m. at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St.

He was born on June 18, 1978, in Dubuque, son of Mary Ann (Phend) Zimmerman.

He lived in Dubuque and attended Dubuque Senior High School.

He moved to Cedar Rapids in 1996, and returned to Dubuque in 2004.

Jeremy was always smiling and loved spending time with his family and friends. He liked to fish when he had a chance, but his greatest joy was spending time with his son, Levi.

Surviving are his son, Levi Adam Zimmerman, of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Mary Nauret, of Dubuque; two sisters, Candy M. (Tracy) Zimmerman-Brimmer and Nicole L. Fitzgerald, both of Dubuque; his grandmother, Rose M. Pixler, of Dubuque; his very special great-aunt, June Herzberg, of Dubuque; his aunt, Sandy L. (Terry) Brimmer, of Dubuque; and eight nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard Pixler; and his "Uncle" William Leonard.

In lieu of flowers, a Jeremy A. Zimmerman Memorial Fund has been established.

The family would like to especially thank Chaplain Joan Haug, and the nurses doctors and staff at Mercy Medical Center, for their care and concern for Jeremy and his family.
