Senator Mulkern and Judge King, two prominent citizens of Dubuque, have passed from the stage of life within the past two weeks. The first was a member of the last Iowa Senate, and a leader of the Democracy in Dubuque, a man of fine talent and social virtues which were obscured, however, by habits of dissipation. In the later part of his life Judge King was the editor of the first paper ever printed in Iowa. An old and respected citizen of the State, possessed of virtuous intellect, and a man of unspotted character.
