CASCADE, Iowa - Services for Marie Cathryn Neiers, 88, 521 2nd Ave., S.W., Cascade, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cascade.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Monday at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Neiers was employed as a waitress at the Gress Cafe for several years.

She was born on March 4, 1908, in Worthington, daughter of Nicholas and Catherine (Neise) Marbach. She died at 9:40 a.m. Friday, May 31, 1996, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.

She married Carl Neiers on Oct. 1, 1934, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Worthington.

She received her education in the Worthington schools. She was a member of St. Matthias Parish, Cascade, and its altar and rosary society.

Surviving are her husband, Carl Neiers, of Cascade; two sons, Carl (and Doris) Neiers Jr., of Guttenberg, and Michael Neiers, of Anamosa; a daughter, Joan M. Kauder, of Cascade; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joe Marbach, of Worthington.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kris Kauder; her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.

A Marie C. Neiers Memorial Fund has been established.
