Lloyd A. "Lefty" Dalsing, 69, 3774 Buckeye Court, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, in Los Fresnos, Texas, at his winter home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Dalsing owned and operated the Chateau Supper Club for 35 years, retiring on Jan. 5, 1990.

He was born on April 30, 1929, in Paris Township, Wis., son of Zeno and Clara (Schmeltz) Dalsing.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed playing euchre. He was a member of the Dubuque Shooting Society 660 Club and Izaac Walton Club. He was a past member of Ducks Unlimited.

Surviving are Joan Murphy, of Dubuque; five daughters, Donna (Mike) Dillon and Linda (Tom) Klein, both of Dubuque, Lana (Gary) Norton, of Boulder, Colo., Lora (Joe) Spahn, of Asbury, Iowa, and Lisa (Kent) Chapman, of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Roger Bruggeman, of Dubuque. The children of Joan who also shared in Lefty's life were: Kim (Mark) Buxton, of Livermore, Calif., and T.J. Murphy, Chris (Russ) Reed, Jeff (Teresa) Murphy and Bill (Lynn) Murphy, all of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther MacFarlane; his parents; and a sister, Aurelia Bruggeman.
