DUNKERTON — Donna Mae Heim, 70, of Dunkerton, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital Waterloo of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 26, 1947, in Dubuque, daughter of Donald McAllister and Cecelia Boffeli McAllister. On Oct. 8, 1966, she married Francis "Frank" John Heim at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley.

Donna graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic High School in Farley in 1965. She attended beautician school in Dubuque and practiced for a short time before starting a family and caring for the home. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church-Barclay, Dunkerton.

Survived by: her husband; five children, Francis D. "Junior" Heim (Dawn Johnson) and Joseph (Debra) Heim, both of Waterloo, Julia (Lee) Holub of Fairbank, and Jill (Scott) Poock and Jannelle (Jeremy) Price, both of Sumner; four grandchildren, Stephen (Laura) Holub, Brandon Heim, Arianna Poock and Jesse Price; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Bayley and Hailey Holub; two brothers, Gerald (Karen) McAllister of Cascade and Mark (Mary Sue) McAllister of Bankston; two sisters, Rita (Melvin) Welter of Monticello and Sharon (Richard) Kramer of Dyersville; and many other close family and friends.

Preceded in death by: her parents; two children in infancy, Jamie and Jason; a brother, Jack McAllister; and a daughter-in-law, Tammy Heim.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Farley, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a vigil service at 7 p.m. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
