Deborah (Travis) Simon, 65, of Dubuque, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 3, 2017, with her husband by her side.

Funeral Service will at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Hoffmann Schneider and Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 6, and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7 at Hoffmann Schneider and Kitchen Funeral Home. A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at St. Joseph Cemetery, Farley, Iowa.

Deborah was born June 8, 1951, in Dubuque, IA, daughter of James F. and Marcella (Engling) Travis. She married Stephen Simon July 21, 1971.

Deborah was a wonderful homemaker and mother to all. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved camping, getting her nails done, spending time on the computer, and staying in contact with friends. She enjoyed cooking, smoking meat and she mastered her mother-in-law's German Style Potato salad's recipe.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen; her children, Jim Simon, Kim (Neal) Link, Tim Simon, and Kelly (Larry Mathis) Simon; 5 grandchildren, Samantha, Ashley, Olivia, River and Indie; her mother, Marcella Travis; brothers, Steve (Angela) Travis, and David Travis; sisters, Chris Travis, Vicki (Mike) Sawvell, and Pam (David) Krieg; and her in-laws, Dan Simon, Nancy Wernimont, Becky (Mike) Donovan, Mickey (Cathy Cooper) Simon, Heidi (Rick) Dean, Teddy (Cheri) Simon, Randy (Cindi) Simon, Penny Simon and Tami Simon.

She is preceded in death by her father, James F. Travis; a brother, James Travis and a sister, Linda McMurray; her mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Rita Simon; and in-laws, James Simon, Judy Healy and Victoria Simon.
