Audrey C. (Pfohl) Oberfoell, 85, of Sherrill, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Luther Manor Care Center, Dubuque.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Sherrill, with Rev. Noah Diehm officiating. Burial in Ss Peter and Paul Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, April 20th, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Rd.

Audrey was born December 4, 1931, daughter of Roy and Viola (Kintzle) Pfohl. She married Melvin A. "Bucky" Oberfoell on Sept. 20, 1948, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Sherrill. He passed away on January 24, 1999.

She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, and the Rosary Society. Audrey farmed with her husband until 1977 when they moved into Sherrill, and in 2012 she moved into Dubuque. She worked for over 25 years at Leiser's/Sweeney's Resturant. Audrey enjoyed her grandchildren, music, a good card game, and an occasional trip to the casino. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Janice (Ken "Butch") Hammill, of Benton, Wis., Sandy Klein-Pierce (friend Clair) of Sherrill, Randy (Debbie) Oberfoell, of Dubuque, Connie (Dave) Kress, of Epworth, and Nancy (John) Brimeyer, of Davenport, IA.; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Anthony; a brother, Harlan (Janet) Pfohl; a sister-in-law, Pat (Dave) Hefel; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred Scharf, Lillian (Don) Huff, Marty Hammerand, Diane (Bill) Kreiman, Shirley Oberfoell, Karen Oberfoell, Lillian Oberfoell, Jerome (Ruby) Oberfoell, Katie Oberfoell, Richard Griebel, Joan Oberfoell, and Albert Oberfoell.

Audrey was also preceded in death by her, parents; a brother, Robert Pfohl; sons-in-law, Lyle Klein and Robert Pierce; brothers-in-law, Merlin Anthony, Wayne Scharf, Paul Oberfoell, Delbert Oberfoell, James Oberfoell, John Oberfoell, and Peter Oberfoell; and sisters-in-law, Irene Griebel, Effie (Don) Smith, Alice Mooney, and Norma Jean Hammerand.
