Jerome Scofield died at his home in Lyons, Iowa, Monday morning, inst. He formerly lived in Dubuque, owning an interest in the Lambert saw mill at the mouth of Catfish Creek. When it burned, a few years ago, it was a severe financial loss to him, and through age and misfortune his mind partially failed him. He was a native of Fishkill Landing, N. Y., and was in his 71st year. Dubuque Herald.
