Mr. Richard Ryan died at his home in Vernon town-
ship at a quarter to 7 o'clock yesterday morning.
Mr. Ryan was a farmer and had been a resident of
Dubuque county for the past thirty-eight years.
He was well and favorable known to a great many
people both in the country and city. He was tho-
roughly honest, was kind and charitable and a de-
vout member of the Catholic church. Mr. Ryan was
honored and respected by all who knew him. He
leaves his widow Sarah and one son John.
