Mrs. Emma Kannengeiser, 77, of 1667 Jackson Street, died at her home at 7:45 o'clock Sunday morning following a long illness.

The body is at the Egelhof Home for Funerals, where funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon under auspices of Julien Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Kannengeiser was born in Dubuque on Sept. 19, 1864, the daughter of Bernard and Magdalina Bieg, pioneer settlers. She spent her lifetime in Dubuque with the exception of a few years at Rockford, Iowa. She was a member of Julien
Chapter, No. 125, OES, Jephthah Shrine, and Dubuque Women's Protective Club.

Surviving are six nieces and nephews (omitted here but specifically named in the obituary). She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. C.B. (Edna) Young, who died in 1935; two brothers, Herman and Frank Bieg; and one sister, Mrs. B.C. (Lydia) Scherr.
