DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Monika M. Etscheidt, 56, of 1209 Ninth Ave. S.D., Dyersville, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Reiff Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be an American Legion Auxiliary rosary at 3:30 p.m., and a wake service at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Etscheidt worked at Scale Models, Dyersville.

She was born March 23, 1943, in Cleve, Germany, daughter of Arnold and Heidi (Stadler) Maasakkers. She married Steve Etscheidt on Nov. 26, 1971, in Bossier City, La.

She received her education in Germany. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Dyersville, and the Dyersville American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband, Steven Etscheidt, of Dyersville; three daughters, Donna (Bill) Sieverding, of Dyersville, Renate Miller, of Dubuque, and Heidi (Terry) Greenwood, of Dyersville; two sons, Larry (Debbie) Miller, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Charly Etscheidt, of Epworth; six grandchildren; and her mother, Heidi Lewis, of Big Springs, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Maasakkers; and a grandchild, Jennifer.
