SHERRY M. ETSCHEIDT

Sherry M. Etscheidt, 67, of Dubuque, Iowa and formerly of Buffalo, New York and Dyersville, Iowa died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at noon at her home in Dubuque, Iowa.

Friends and relatives of Sherry may call from 2 to 7 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa where a prayer service will be held at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Jeff A. Dole presiding. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Matthews Cemetery in Buffalo, New York.

Sherry was born December 19, 1947 in Buffalo, New York, daughter of George and Edith (Sykes) Wright. She received her education at JFK High School in Cheektowaga, NY. On August 21, 2004 in Dyersville, Iowa she was united in marriage to Steven Etscheidt. She was employed at ARC-Area Residential Care as a group home caregiver.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Etscheidt of Dubuque, Iowa; three children, Jennifer Parker of Deerfield Beach, FL, Jennette D'Angelo of East Aurora, NY, and Kate Dobe of Cheektowaga, NY; five step children, Larry Miller of Warner Robins, GA, Donna (Bill) Sieverding of Dyersville, IA, Renee Miller of Dubuque, IA, Charly Etscheidt of Madison, Wi and Heidi (Terry) Greenwood of Farley, IA; fifteen grandchildren, Adam, Jessica, Christopher, Jayden, Monika, Krystal, Jakob, Madelyn, Joshua, Claudia, John, Luke, Steven, Heather and Ryan; five great grandchildren, Porter, Malory, Archer, Delilah and Emery; her mother-in-law, Martha A. Etscheidt of Dubuque, IA; and her ever present companion, Shih tzu, Henry.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marilyn Kalinowski; a brother, Donald right; and her father-in-law, Lloyd G. Etscheidt.
