The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Connolly, of Melleray, Iowa, will learn with regret of the death of their eldest child, Florence, aged 2 years and three months, which occurs Sunday evening, Sept. 17th, at 8:30 o’clock at the family residence, after a wasting illness of two weeks duration.

Florence was a bright and happy child, and the possession of a joyful disposition, which made her many friends in her short life.

The grief stricken parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning at Holy Family Church at the Monastery where mass was celebrated by Father David, who also preached an appropriate sermon. A large cortege followed the remains to the last resting place. Four little girls, namely Gertrude Logan, Jean McGuinness, Mary Hanley and Loras Gibbs, friends of the deceased, carried the casket. Little Marie Walsh and Mabel Brummer acted as honorary pallbearers, and also carried the flowers.
