Funeral services for William Luthe Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. N. Mathies, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Paul Mathies sang hymns during the service, her accompanist being Miss Helen Stuber.

The body was interred in Linwood Cemetery, members of the Spanish American War Veterans having charge of the service. George Schaffhauser was commander. He was assisted by Henry Holtz, senior vice-commander; James F. Lavin, junior vice-commander; Charles Agard, Chaplin; T. M. Langton, officer of the day; John F. Murphy, Fred Pitzen, J. J. Duscher, and Frank Gollobtz, firing squad; John Ulm, color bearer; William Loes, color guard; O. F. Lockin, burglar.

The casket was supported by Frank Donahue, Herbert Luthe, Otto Scharping, Fred Roepsch, H. J. Taplet and George Bauer, also Spanish American War Veterans.

Mrs. V. Luedtke, Mr. and Mrs. H. Tolmie, all of Rockford; Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Hibbard, Chicago were here for the funeral.
